Position Summary:
Daily cleaning of government buildings in a manner that will maintain
and meet all facility level service standards. The Janitorial Worker
must have a valid driver license to transport his/her teammates from
building to building. Must present a clean, neat, and professional
appearance. Must be able to work unsupervised/alone and be highly
dependable. Employee shall accomplish all janitorial services required
in the Statement of Work (SOW).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and complete daily work schedules.
- Order supplies.
- Knowledge of all safety procedures and emergency contacts.
- Complete daily/weekly activity logs.
- Must be able to drive and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to clean restrooms in a timely manner: cleaning of
urinals, sinks, toilets and showers, stock paper towels, soap and
toilet tissue, stall doors, emptying feminine box trash along with
sweeping and mopping restroom floors.
- Ability to vacuum all carpet and door mats in the buildings with
an upright or backpack vacuum.
- Dust mop and wet mop all restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and
hallway floors.
- Empty all centralized trash.
- Detailing cleaning required (cleaning entrance glass doors, etc.).
- Overhead dusting of air vents.
- Must be able to work alone or with a team to complete daily tasks
on time.
- Must be able to maintain a good attendance record.
Experience Desirable:
- Janitorial experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Mission driven, guided by core values and a pleasure to work with.
- Maintain driver’s license and clean MVR in order to operate Tommy
Nobis Center vehicles.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to satisfy security requirements for base access.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Special Skills/Abilities:
Interpersonal
: Relate to a variety of clients and staff.
Written Communications: Ability to use basic writing skills
to keep an inventory log.
Oral Communications: Ability to understand English.
Equipment: Ability to use vacuum and other janitorial
equipment as needed.
Other Qualifications or Requirements:
Mental Effort:
Ability to work independently and successfully coordinate the
activities of the job
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to withstand strenuous
activity. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Visual Effort:
Well-lighted office/warehouse environment requiring an average amount
of visual effort.
Safety:
TNC will provide a safe work environment according to the TNC
Emergency Plan, compliance agencies and other safety policies and guidelines.
